Surprisingly un-congested, though that might depend on where you're from, the Western Lakes Region offers true four-season recreation. From boating to snowmobiling and skiing, to golf and fishing, if you're looking to find a lake front cottage or a mountain ski home in a place you can enjoy anytime of year, the western lakes and mountains region should be a definite contender.
