The history of verymaine!

Verymaine began as a hobby website created by a Maine family that just can't get enough of authentically Maine experiences. We love Maine stuff so much that we decided put up a website committed to things, places and faces that we think are very Maine.

Strange as it sounds, this family spends a LOT of time searching for the ultimate Maine camp in the mountains and for the ultimate Maine cottage on the ocean. We're constantly searching, re-searching, and book-marking favorite Maine real estate sites on the Internet. Sharing newly discovered Maine properties has become a way of life. And so a long story short, putting our listings, site links, and our very Maine experiences online became the best way for us to stay organized and thus the birth of verymaine.com.

If you have a camp or cottage (or even a piece of land that's ideal for a camp or cottage) and you'd like to sell, you can put on this site at no cost. Brokers and Maine real estate sales agents are also welcome to post. The only requirement is that your listing is a "very Maine" type property which is loosely defined as a property that suitable for a Maine vacation home, but could be year-round, could cost a million dollars, or could be seasonal Maine camp and cost less then twenty thousand dollars and come with owner financing.
